Labor Day weekend is the official end of the summer season. Goodbye baseball, hello football. So long swimsuits, welcome sweaters and boots.

But before we officially usher in the fall season, it’s time to have one last party, and Randall Beans will be hanging out at some small town Labor Day celebrations, passing out delicious homemade bean dishes, spreading the word about our beans in glass jars and having a great time.

In Des Moines, Iowa, you can find us at the Hy-Vee Triathlon. We’ll be cheering the runners, bikers and swimmers on to victory and passing out samples of our famous bean salad to make sure every athlete and spectator is powered by beans. Beans are a fantastic source of protein and keep athletes full and focused on victory. Stop by our booth to say hello, sample our salad and even get some Randall Beans swag.

For our friends in Michigan, you can find us at the Tekonsha Village Wide Labor Day Garage Sale. This is definitely a homecoming for us. While Randall Beans is now headquartered in Cincinnati, we were founded in Tekonsha in 1876 and our main processing plant is still located in the village to this day. You can find us at 425 W. Jackson Street, just four blocks from Main Street. We’ll be selling Randall Beans by the case along with t-shirts, recipe books, and cookies and brownies made with beans. That’s right, made with beans. You can also head on down the street to the Union Church of Christ, where we’ve donated the beans for their famous bean soup.

However you’ll be spending your Labor Day, we hope to see you soon out and about. Enjoy the last days of summer, and remember–it’s almost chili season!
