Kellogg Community College Corporate Sponsorship

We here at Randall Beans are huge fans of art and music. We’re invested in supporting the growth of young artists and promoting events that better local communities. By engaging in artistic ventures and activities like collegiate music concerts as corporate sponsors, we can directly give back to the people who put their faith in our products. Randall Beans wouldn’t be here without the loyalty and support of cooks in communities across the U.S.

Randall Beans is proud to sponsor the KCC Choral Union comprised of the Kellogg Singers from Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, MI and the Branch County Community Chorus of Coldwater, MI. The Kellogg Singers perform under the direction of Dr. Gerald Blanchard. We’ve had a wonderful time building this sponsorship relationship and getting to know the community the Kellogg Singers represent and entertain. It has been a true delight to see the kinds of things the group is doing with the help of our relationship!

Dr. Blanchard recently held an official Randall Beans Cook-off during a fundraising event on March 1st. We couldn’t have been more excited to help out! The Kellogg Singers received a case of Randal Beans to hand out as prize support and specialized, branded t-shirts for the cook-off contestants to wear. Seven singers entered the cooking competition and a finalist was chosen after careful deliberation.

The Winner

Randall Beans would like to congratulate Mrs. Carrie Zamora for winning this year’s Kellogg Community College Randall Beans Cook-off! Carrie is currently taking music classes at Kellogg Community College (including Music History and Choir) where she also sings in the Kellogg Singers. Carrie’s winning dish and recipe is listed below. She not only received the highest number of  winning votes, but crushed the competition. That’s what we call putting Randall Beans to good use! Carrie won three jars of beans and a t-shirt for her efforts.


6 Bean Chili with Bacon


1lb ground beef
1lb pork roll sausage original flavor
1/2 lb bacon cooked and crumbled  or 1 cup real bacon bits
1 can northern beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can black beans
1 can red beans
1 can chili beans
1 can refried beans
1 large can vegetable juice
2 cups water
1 small onion diced
1 bell pepper diced
1 Tbsp Chili powder
1 tsp cumin
3 cloves garlic finely chopped
1 tsp sage
1 tsp ground coriander seed
1 Tbsp Brown sugar
1 Tbsp beef base

In a large skillet sauté bell pepper, onion and garlic until tender. Add ground beef and pork roll sausage cooking until done. (Note-if choosing to use raw bacon, cook until crisp, crumble and add to meat) Transfer meat mixture to large pot and add all remaining ingredients.  Bring to a boil stirring often. Reduce heat to simmer 45 minutes. Eat with a side of cornbread and enjoy!
