Fall is here and it’s time for everyone to head back to school for the year. That means choosing between school lunches or home-packed meals. In many cases, school lunches can lack the proper energy and nutrition needed for your little ones to succeed. Luckily, packing a delicious, healthy meal to send to school is easy when you’re working with Randall Beans!

This tasty, protein packed take on traditional hummus is one of our favorite healthy lunchtime snacks. All it takes is a jar of your favorite Randall’s Garbanzo Beans, some ranch dressing mix and creamy Greek yogurt. Send this tasty treat to school chilled alongside carrot sticks or celery for a filling, energy filled alternative to junk food.

Easy-Ranch-Hummus

 

Ingredients:

1 (14 ounce) can Randall Garbanzo Beans, drained and rinsed
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
3 teaspoons ranch dressing mix
¼- ¾ cup water

Instructions:

Combine garbanzo beans, olive oil, greek yogurt, ranch dressing mix, and ¼ cup water to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, adding the extra water if necessary.

Store refrigerated in an airtight container. Serve with fresh vegetables, pretzel sticks, or pita chips.
