Cooking from scratch can make what looks like an easy recipe too lengthy for a weeknight meal. Using ready-made ingredients is an easy shortcut for meals. You can use ready-made foods that need to be heated through, but don’t require any additional work. This kind of time saver allows you to make great tasting food but get it on the table at a decent hour.
Our latest customer submitted recipe is so easy you’ll wonder why you didn’t think of it yourself. Rick Long sent us his “Everything’s Better with Beans” mixed bean soup recipe. He takes a jar of Randall Mixed Beans and adds it to cans of ready-made soup. Rick likes to use Campbell’s Chunky Beef and Country Vegetable Soup because of the tasty brown gravy. To give the soup even more flavor, he adds cooked chopped onions and a dash of liquid hickory seasoning.
